Rooftop Terrace view of Midtown…from Hotel Indigo, Lower East Side, NYC
The penthouse suite offered the most stunning views of both downtown & midtown NYC from the spacious corner balcony.
Strolling through Central Park & admiring the fall foliage was definitely a highlight of the trip. I have visited Central Park many times, but this was by far my favorite time of year to experience it.
We had the chance to visit the 9-11 Museum, (not pictured) and I am so glad we made this decision. We had both seen the Ground Zero Memorial, but not the Museum…it was one of the most profound experiences and does such an amazing job by honoring victims and family members. The museum is about a 10-minute cab ride from the hotel.
Freeman’s Restaurant…another great brunch option within walking distance of the Hotel Indigo, LES. This restaurant is such a “hidden gem” and only a few blocks from the hotel. The food & service was excellent. Also, I like how it is located in this cute little alley off the main road.
I highly recommend the Hotel Indigo, Lower East Side for its prime location, amenities, and service. The rooftop bar offers stunning views of both Downtown & Midtown and it heats up at night with a young and fun crowd. I liked how we could easily walk to some of the best brunch spots, such as Clinton St. Baking Company and Freeman’s Restaurant.
It is a short cab ride to Central Park or the 9-11 Museum/Ground Zero. Located just one short block from the 2ND AVE/F-TRAIN subway station, the hotel is situated at the epicenter of the thriving Lower East Side, just a 30-minute ride from LaGuardia Airport and a 45-minute drive from both JFK Airport and Newark Airport.

Hey there…so here’s the deal. I have been eyeing a Burberry coat for some time now. It is hard to find another coat with the same amount of detail and trim/slim lines. Finally — we are going to have a real winter season in Georgia…meaning (at least) cold weather in the 30’s.
The past few years have been so mild that I didn’t even need a heavy coat. I can’t say I am excited about the colder weather, but I am excited about this coat! Here is another brand that has a similar option as the Burberry one, but for a tad-bit cheaper.
This felicity & coco pencil dress is the perfect foundation dress for different scarves and statement necklaces, like this one from BP I just purchased a week ago. Everything I am wearing (minus my heels) is from my local Nordstrom store.

I love this dress because it is wearable year-round’. I like black & navy together + the slimming black trim around the waist + feminine lace detail; it is perfect for holiday parties, cocktail and wedding parties, or anywhere you want to err on the conservative side without being boring. I like this brand’s price point, as well. Shop all Eliza J dresses here at Nordstrom.
I actually wore this dress just last night to a Southern wedding in Lexington, North Carolina, which took place at the local Baptist church. When I am with family in a southern church, playing it safe and not showing up looking like Romy and Michelle’s Highschool Reunion is best.

Hi there friends!! After a little blogging hiatus…I am back. I took some time off to get moved into our place in Atlanta and start my new job. I am back working in retail commercial real estate and I couldn’t be more excited!
I will still be blogging and posting my favorites from fashion, travel, and organic beauty, so stay tuned. I think the break was good for me in the sense that I could really think about what I want to do in the coming year.
I have become really passionate about all-natural beauty and clean living and domestic travel that highlights boutique hotels with character. I will continue to let fashion drive the blog, but would also like to now focus on the latter two categories in more depth. However, this has not come without sacrifice.
I have had to turn down many paid sponsorships with brands that do not represent my philosophy on what is considered “healthy beauty.” I feel like being authentic and true to what I believe in, will in the long-run, earn the respect of my followers.
Please continue to leave your comments and let me know what you think…I love hearing from you guys and helping you navigate the fashion & beauty jungle!

Hello lovely ladies…hope you all had a fabulous Halloween! How gorgeous is this Milly gold & black sequin top from One Boutique? It reminds me of an outfit that came straight off the Mad Men television series set. My most treasured fashion accessory would definitely be my vintage Chanel handbag. It has to be the most timeless piece out there. I use it in photo shoots over & over again!
