Hello Ladies! Spring is just around the corner and a trench coat is a great staple piece for transitioning. I like this rich navy color by Gucci, but there are several other options in the Shop the Post widget, below. The dress is by Lanvin and is part of the last official collection by designer Alber Elbaz; he has been at the French design house for 14 years…here is a great article on his departure. I love navy & green together and bright-colored striped prints are big for spring this year!

I fell in love with these Kate Spade pumps from Shoes at Surrey the moment I saw them! I love a good pair of snake-skin pumps, especially with this fun pop of color! This exact pair is not available online, but you can call the store if you want to have them ship directly to you! I apologize for this being such a short post, but I have been a little under-the-weather and taking lots of Ny-Quil, so I don’t want to write anything I will regret later! The name of the pump is the Kate Spade “Philomenia” snakeskin heel. Here are a few of my favorite pumps to wear right now:
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope you all had a very memorable holiday season and that Santa was good to you! This is my favorite time of year and I love being with family, friends and of course, our four Cavalier King Charles Spaniels! I can’t believe it is 80 deg. outside this year, what crazy weather. I am looking forward to spending New Year’s with my husbands’ family at our home this year and then we are planning a fun trip to Key West in February. Bikinis in winter…sure, why not!? Have a great week, ladies and enjoy your time off! Plus, how awesome is this JCrew gold and navy dress!?
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays, Anne!
December is my favorite time of the year and I love all of the fun dress-up options and opportunities! This is the perfect red party dress that you can accessorize with bold statement pieces, like a fun animal print clutch and gold necklace. Animal Print clutches are big right now and you can find them in a variety of patterns and textures. The one I am showing here is from Sole Society, and is budget-friendly. I don’t normally wear a red dress, but I love wearing one around the Holidays because it is so classic and festive. I got this Kendra Scott statement necklace to wear specifically with this dress, but I know I will get a lot of use out of it with many other looks. I had so much fun bringing little Sweet Pea into the shoot; she is a little over ONE year and I am surprised she sat still with the reindeer antlers on…she got a treat afterwards to reward the good behavior!

It’s beginning to feel like the holidays – this festive party dress is different from the average. Launched in Palm Springs, California, in 2010, the Loyd/Ford brand is a luxury women’s line; according to the Montaigne Market, “…the designer duo’s collections remain light and feminine rich with head-turning creations.” I am definitely a “girly-girl,” so this works with my personality perfectly! Plus, I love doing something a little creative during the holidays. The lace capelet is also by Loyd/Ford and is sadly sold out…I tried searching for a similar version, but just could not find one that came even close. I will keep looking and checking back for it and will update if possible. Happy Holiday Shopping and GO OUT and have fun people- tis’ the season to be merry!

If you have been regularly following the blog, you know by now that I am crushing on Chanel Oberlin in Fox’s “Scream Queens,” drama television show. I have had several posts, Scream Style Round II and Chanel Oberlin’s Style. I love her character’s fun, girly style and thought I would do my own little styling session to showcase a feature look. Moreover, I recently started working with top retailers in Atlanta, GA, to bring you all the BEST of the BEST in new trends and styles! I have had so much fun pulling looks with the ladies at these stores and Don Purcell, the Manager of Jeffrey in Phipps Plaza.
How did I envision this look and pull it off? I usually start with a key/primary piece in my mind…for this look, I knew I wanted a blush pink faux fur or feather vest. Next, it is a process of elimination…sometimes I will try on a few different dresses and variations of a look before I know for sure which direction I want to head. Also, if you have a dominant piece, such as this vest, just let it shine and don’t make it compete with a patterned dress. This look was so much FUN and I loved the way it turned out, many thanks to my retail partners in Atlanta!

Woop, woop! It’s the weekend, Bloom Girls and I am excited about a fun event I have to go to tonight in Augusta called the President’s Gala for Augusta University. I can’t wait to get dressed up in formal wear dress from Tootsie’s Atlanta, GA and then do a blog post on the dress I wear tonight! So fun and the weather is perfect here. Other exciting news –at least for me? My patio furniture arrives tomorrow and I am going to go look for a fire-pit = major comfy-cozy time outside tomorrow night! I may even go crazy an do smores!!!
A little news about what I am wearing in this post –the crop top is from Milly’s “Holiday” Collection and as such, it is very festive with embellished sequins. Feel free to call the store and ask for your size –I spoke with them and they are happy to send directly to you in your size! If it is chilly outside, just throw on a black wrap over it or a black faux-fur crop jacket, such as this one from Calvin Klein. This top also comes in straight-up “red” if you prefer that color to burgundy.
This exact faux-leather skirt from Rebecca Taylor is no longer available (SO SAD); again, feel free to call Shop One, Augusta (number provided in the link above) or shop some of the alternative options I have listed. This skirt also comes in Teal, Here and in Oxblood (Burgundy) Here in Sizes “0” or “6”. I do love it in black but these alternative colors are a huge hit this season and are really gorgeous, too.
A metallic cross-body bag is something you absolutely need because metallics go with almost everything and anything. I still have a Salvatore Ferragamo beige mettalic handbag that I use frequently because it can go with black or neutrals! You will get a lot of use from it over the years and I love this one from Rebecca Minkoff because it is petite and practical!
Have a Fabulous Weekend and Enjoy!
This Midi-Skirt from Chic Wish (one of my go-to stores for cute skirts) is on sale now, so check it out; the pumps are also under $60.00 from DSW. My everyday style includes mixing and matching lower and higher priced items. Plus, if you save a little here and there on outfits, that is more vacation money for later! I am writing from beautiful Knoxville, Tennessee, where the leaves are changing and fall is in full-force! I hope you all had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and have a great week ahead. I am missing my little Ginger Spice pup and being away from her!

We had a big weekend – sorry for not posting! Two of our best friend’s had their baby’s Christening in a sweet ceremony on Sunday and then I drove home to see my family for a few days –the rain and overcast weather has followed me everywhere from Augusta and I am ready for sunshine! If you have been following the blog, you will have noticed that I did a post on “capes” late last week as a precursor to this post.
This one is from a local boutique —fab’rik, Augusta, or you can find it online and similar styles, listed above, under the picture. I love the red & black combination – it is so “old-fashioned London” to me and gives you instant class! You can wear it to work over a black skirt, as I have here, or black plants; for a more casual look, pair it with dark jeans, like these from Paige Denim, Here, or from 7 for all Mankind, Here, Or Here.
I have featured this bucket bag many times, mainly because it is my favorite purse right now and goes with almost everything! I love the little tassel detail on the front- so cute! This watch is from Windsor Fine Jewelers, listed above; please feel free to browse their online store Windsor Fine Jewelers or visit the store in person for more watches in varying prices.
Have a great week and keep your head up! I am anxiously awaiting the Georgia vs. Alabama game we are attending in Athens, GA, this weekend!
